Physical Facilities

RDA is located quite far from the district headquarter Bogra. The    campus has been designed to make all possible modern amenities and facilities available to the residents. The campus is well organised with physical facilities including Residential Quarters, Hostels, Library, Auditorium,Conference Rooms, Cafeteria, Mosque,  Medical centre, Nursery and Ornamental Nursery, Bank,   Post-Office, Consumer Store, School and College, Play Ground, Children's    Park, etc with green vegetative growth of different varieties of plants and trees. Some of the physical facilities, particularly related to  training, seminar/ workshop and research are mentioned a bit  in details below:

Training Room                  : 5 (Total Capacity = 180+)

Conference Room            : 4 (Total Capacity = 250+)

Auditorium (Central AC) : 1 (Total Capacity = 800+)

Dormitory                         : 4 (Total Capacity = 300+)

Guest House (AC)            :  (Total Capacity = 50+)

The Academy has a guest house having 18 air-conditioned 

rooms including 09 suites with dining and lounge facilities. 

The guest house is used for distinguished visitors from home 

and abroad.

Cafeteria                           : 2 (Total Capacity = 250+)

Cafeteria facilities are offered to the participants of different 

training courses, seminar, workshop, conference etc. held at 

the Academy. There are two cafeterias, one of which is air 

conditioned and have special facilities for lunch or dinner for 

150 persons. The other can cater to the dining needs of 

about 100 persons at a time. Meals like breakfast, luncheon 

and dinner are available at the cafeteria.

Library                              : 1 (Total Books = 23,506) with      internet facility.

Demonstration Farm        : 1 (Total Area  29.50 hectares)  

Nursery                             : 2 (Orchard and Ornamental)

Computer Unit:  

The Academy has a well organized Computer Unit to 

facilitate research and other works.  At present, the Computer 

Unit has 10  computers ( desktop ), 7 computers( laptop ) 

and internet connection which are used by the 

Faculty Members, Officers and the Trainees. 

Audio-Visual Unit: 

The Academy has an Audio-Visual Unit equipped with 

different instruments like conference system, overhead 

projector, microphone, still and video camera, VCR, VCP, 

P.A. system, cordless P.A. system, cordless P.A system, 

multimedia projector etc. The services of this unit are used 

particularly for training, workshop and seminars.

RDA Laboratory School and College: 

The Academy Laboratory School and college provides quality 

educational facilities to the children of the Academy Faculty 

Members and staff besides the interested children from nearby 

Sherpur and Shajhanpur Upazilas.Total number of students in 

the primary, secondary and higher secondary levels are 1615. 

The students of the school and collage are achieving 

commendable results in public examinations both in terms 

of percentages of passage and obtaining superior 

grades ( Secondary School Certificate exam- passed 100%,

 A+ 29 in 2007; Higher Secondary School Certificate- 

passed 92.19% in 2006 ).

Medical Centre:  

Medical Centre employed by a Medical Officer, a Compounder  

and a Dresser provides primary treatment and medical advice

to the trainees and employees of the Academy.

Mosque: 

All Muslim auspicious days were observed with due solemnity 

in the mosque. Special prayers and Doa  Mahfils were held 

on national days.

Recreation:  

There are one football ground, one volleyball court, one lawn 

tennis court, one basketball court, one squash  court, two 

badminton courts and one children's park. The recreation 

Centre caters to indoor games facilities including table tennis 

and carom. 

Others    : Post Office, Two Schedule Banks ( Janata and 

Sonali) ,Swimming pool, Officers' Club, Ladies Club, 

Information  Centre and Help Desk, Media Cell,         

Cooperative Shop etc.
